Archives and Artifact Collections

Our archive and artifact collections are currently in storage as we transition to a new facility.  We estimate they will be available for public access in summer or fall of 2023.

In the meantime we aim to provide what access we can to physical and digital materials, however due to the nature of storage and access not all requests can be serviced.  Staff are currently working a reduced schedule and this may add additional time to any requests.  In most cases we will need to service research requests solely though online means as physical access is severely limited.

Our collections primarily focus on the Hanford Site and the town of Richland, from early days of Euro-American settlement through the end of the Cold War.

Please contact us prior to your visit to set up an appointment.  Drop-in visits are discouraged and we may not be able to service your request depending on staff availability.  Contact information can also be found at the "Contact" page on our website.

Only a percentage of our collections at this time are available to browse online.  For a more thorough list of collections please contact the repository.
